Where is he now?

Dan is currently in Pakistan, speeding closer to his final destination of Southern India in his epic 9,000 mile cycle ride. Read all about how InterHealth are supporting him with remote healthcare along the way below.

Velo Love

InterHealth is proud to support Daniel Bent’s epic 9000 mile cycle ride to India as he raises money for ActionAid. We are providing Dan with remote healthcare and some essential travel supplies to ensure he stays fit and healthy on his journey.

On 17th July 09 Daniel Bent left the junior school where he teaches, in the leafy suburbs of London to travel to India by push bike, where he will teach in the tiny village of Chembakolli. Not only that, Daniel is raising money for ActionAid, who support the school and local reserve he will be teaching at when he arrives as well as being dedicated to ending extreme poverty that kills 28 children a minute every day.

"I am so thankful to InterHealth. My mossie guard is keeping my skin clear and itch free, and my sun lotion (factor ginger) is keeping it the right colour!! It is so reassuring to know I have an English speaking doctor at the end of a phone line whenever I want and I know my Mum is very happy about this too!!" Daniel Bent

Dan will arrive in India on 25th December 2009 and we’ll be here by email and telemed to support him every ‘peddle’ of the way! How we’re helping Dan

Like many long-term travellers who set off on unpredictable, high risk international adventures, InterHealth is supporting Daniel with remote healthcare during his journey. We have also provided travel supplies to help him stay fit and well and a copy of the Berlitz Travel Health Pocket Guide as a handy reference for his backpack.
