Abseil goes down smoothly…

Last Sunday, the 14th of June, 61 thrill seekers scaled down the 100ft façade of Riverwalk House for the InterHealth Abseil Challenge, raising money for InterHealth’s new Anniversary Fund, and in some cases, their own organisations.

The sun was shining, Pimms was flowing, and a large crowd gathered to watch and cheer our participants. Supplementing a healthy crowd of friends and family supporting our participants were passers by, who were compelled to stay and observe by the excitement of the day.

Our participants were excellent. Their appetite for challenge was matched by their hard work and generosity. Overall, they raised over £12,000 for our Anniversary Fund.

The abseil challenge allowed InterHealth to fundraise in a way that reflects the mutually beneficial relationships that have enabled InterHealth to grow and develop over the last 20 years. Some of our participants raised for other organisations, including MacMillan, MAF, TEAMS (The East African Missionary Society), African Revival and Action Against Hunger, helping us meet this goal. The event also benefited the Community Health Global Network (CHGN), a self-funded initiative of InterHealth Worldwide, which raised over £4,000.

We would like to extend our warmest gratitude and thanks to everyone who participated or contributed to the InterHealth Abseil Challenge.
