World Health Assembly and Pre-Assembly Briefings
The annual meeting of the World health Association (WHA), the governing body of the World Health Organisation (WHO) meets this May in Geneva. The meeting will be attended by health ministers of all member countries. It’s a crucial meeting as it looks at a number of vital issues including the revitalisation of Primary Health Care (PHC) as the recommended systems approach for all countries
Community Health Global Network (CHGN) of InterHealth has been involved in two consultations with WHO on PHC, co-chairing one of these.
We will be attending a pre-assembly briefing in Geneva along with other leaders of INGOs involved in primary health care on April 27th. A report on the event will be added to the Global Health section of our website.
