Remote support in the field

Through the TravelWell Plan, our clinical teams are available 24 hours a day to provide your people with support and advice, ensuring their well-being and safety before, during and after their travels.

We are focused on making our knowledge and expertise as widely available as possible by providing remote healthcare support which is available to all people who travel with our subscriber agencies. Many health problems can be prevented through having the basic knowledge and information at your fingertips. 

Our package of remote support services includes the following:

  • Free advice on our Travel Health Advice Line
  • Email support from our medical team
  • Out of hours emergency phone line
  • Access to InterHealth’s tailored online Travel Health Advice Centre (THAC) Travel Supplies posted anywhere in the world

Telephone and email support

For more urgent medical advice, InterHealth nurses and doctors are available to TravelWell Plan subscribers via email and through our Travel Health Advice Line which runs from 2-3pm every working day. We also have an emergency phone line for very urgent queries. We aim to answer within 24 hours, or in case of emergency we offer a 24/7 emergency phone line.

Our doctors frequently respond to email health queries from mission partners all over the world. We are able to solve a remarkable number of problems through email advice and will always try and recommend a reputable local practitioner in-country where appropriate.

Travel Health Advice Centre (THAC)

Whilst overseas, your volunteers, mission partners and teams will have access to our online Travel Health Advice Centre.

Your people are encouraged to take a copy of InterHealth’s Travel Health Pocket Guide published by Berlitz and to have password access to our Travel Health Advice Centre. Together these two resources help to prevent illness and guide individuals on the best course of action if illness strikes.

If more advice is needed, individuals are able to email staff at InterHealth, where we aim to answer within 24 hours, or in case of emergency to use our 24/7 emergency phone line.

Travel Supplies to your door

We are able to post orders for travel supplies and medicines internationally, making sure you and your colleagues have access to kit and medicines all the time.
