Our Psychological Health Service focuses on boosting resilience in mission partners and relief and development workers, and on supporting the psychological wellbeing of UK charity workers and those in Christian Ministry.
Humanitarian staff wellness and missionary well-being are central to the capacity of humanitarian and faith based agencies to work to their full potential. We specialise in supporting relief and development workers and mission partners with stress and trauma management & living with the need for security protocols. We also support staff with depression and other psychological conditions impeding their functioning and personal well being.
It is normal for people working in international relief and development and in faith based service to face issues and circumstances which have a psychological, emotional and spiritual impact on them. Many physical symptoms are manifestations of stress, anxiety and fatigue. Our holistic approach enables us to explore issues with individuals and provide appropriate care and support as early as possible. Our practice means we can refer between our various specialists with a minimum of delay. Our emphasis is always on empowering and facilitating people to understand themselves and where there are difficulties, to promote their recovery to full psychological health.
We also provide comprehensive Psychological Health services to many UK based not-for profit and faith-based organisations including work-life balance and stress management services, trauma management and consultations, advice, referrals and when appropriate counselling or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

"As the Country Representative for Mali at Tearfund, I am often caught off guard when I need to travel at short notice.
Preparation can be a real hassle when you’re focussing on many different things. However, I know I can’t do my job well if I’m not healthy and resilient. When I’m ill on assignment it has a huge impact on my work.
MyHealth will make a real difference to those working internationally by providing expert reassurance if problems arise. This means we can get on with our work, trying to transform the lives of those most in need."
