For the past 6 years Annette has been working as an independent OH Consultant providing advice to clients in private businesses, Logistics, RAF sites, Naval Bases, Councils and Leisure Centres. As well as leading the team and performing clinical work, Annette provides professional supervision for OH students on placement from University. Annette has recently completed qualifications in Occupational Health Law.

Dr Willcox has wide Occupational Health experience having worked with British Airways, British Petroleum (in the Middle East), the BBC (where he was involved in the design of the world's most successful stress measurement tools) and as Group Medical Officer for Cable and Wireless.

He is qualified in Tropical Disease and has extensive interests in illness related to international travel, commuting, work hours and sleep and the impact of migraine in the workplace. He has significant experience in improving managing pressure in the modern workplace. Robert is also the Managing Director of One-Click Health, an innovative internet tool for managing short-term sickness absence.

Annette Chorley (OH Manager), who had previously worked at the Royal College of Nursing as a Lecturer, agreed to act as mentor/practice teacher. The full time Occupational Health (OH) course for full time students is of one year duration and 50% of that time must be spent in practice in an approved organisation.Ola started at InterHealth on 19th September and will be observing OH practice initially and then undertaking project work.

She has always been a nurse in the acute hospital setting for 5 years and last worked on an intensive care unit before commencing this programme.

Mary Barber

Mary Barber is a registered general nurse with experience and training in Orthopaedics and Cardiac Intensive care Nursing...

She has also trained in Massage Therapy and set up her own practice working with cancer patients and with Sense, the deaf blind association. Following a career break to have children Mary returned to do a degree in Occupational Health and has since gained experience working in occupational health in the public sector with the Forensic Science Services and in the private sector with Tesco and Bupa.

Jennifer te Velde
Occupational Health Coordinator
Jennifer joined InterHealth in September 2010 as OH Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover).

She has worked in the charity sector for 5 years. This included working for Interserve England and Wales co-ordinating tailor made gap years in Asia and the Middle East. She recently returned from an 8 month sabbatical travelling overland through Africa with her husband, volunteering with Newfrontiers church projects across the continent.

Having used InterHealth’s services and having referred individuals to the organisation for the past 5 years, she is now very happy to be joining the team.

 

Tom Morgan
Occupational Health Administrator

Tom finished his Economics degree at Loughborough University in 2010. He started as a Finance Intern and Reception Services Assistant at InterHealth last Autumn and has recently joined the Occupational Health team as Occupational Health Administrator.

After studying Mandarin Chinese at school and in Beijing he developed an interest in the language and would like to continue studying Mandarin and explore the opportunities for work in China.
