Water Treatment Kit
These kits contain chlorine, neutralising tablets and a fabric filter. Chlorine is the most widely used water disinfectant. It is more suitable for longer term use than iodine. It will kill most bacteria in the water, but is less effective at killing cysts and viruses. Chlorine can be inactivated by organic matter, so the filter should be used first.
Once the chlorine has been in the water for the recommended standing time, one neutralising tablet can be added for every chlorine tablet used.
