Becky started her working career as a graduate entrepreneur founding graduate training company TopDog Training. The business achieved several milestones including stocking Waterstone’s bookshops and over 45 Universities, and gaining central page coverage in The Times. Prior to joining InterHealth, Becky spent two and a half years as the Entrepreneurship Manager in the University of Reading Business School, working closely with business and young entrepreneurs.

Becky has a passion for health and development with a particular interest in primary healthcare contracting and poverty alleviation, which she researched as part of her MSc Applied Development Studies. Becky is also the Project Founder and Manager for ‘Kupasa Banja’, a new funding initiative founded in partnership with international NGO, HOPE worldwide which provides support to over 200 HIV/AIDS affected children in the slums of Lusaka, Zambia.

Becky is a committed Christian and is actively involved in her church, working with the Teen Ministry and using her singing and piano skills in supporting the Worship Team.
 

Nina Flowers Nina Flowers

Nina has overall responsibility for Marketing & Communications at InterHealth...

Nina has driven the creative direction of InterHealth’s brand since she started in May 2007. She has a passion for communications, challenging complex messages in order to strengthen charity communications.

Her career history includes working for Papworth Hospital, as E Communications Coordinator, and as Communications Assistant at the Arts Council. She’s also worked part-time for Cambridgeshire radio station Q103 FM as part of the Black Thunder Crew promoting events throughout the region.

Nina has a BA (Hons) degree in Design Management and Innovation. She is the co-founder of ethical fashion label, ‘amoosi’, which she set up in 2006 after winning seed funding from the Guardian Millennium Awards. In 2008 she received a ‘Future 100 Award’ from Striding Out in 2008 (awarded to individuals under 35 who demonstrated entrepreneurial flair).

Nina’s travelled fairly extensively; from exciting expeditions to Ghana and Mexico through to a tour of Spain and a road trip on motorbike around the entire coast of France! She loves charity shopping and swishing for bargain gems.

Nicki Boddington Nicki Boddington
Business Development Executive
Nicki joined InterHealth at the beginning of October 2007 as the Business Development Intern having graduated from Durham...

She has since gained significant exposure to many of the departments within InterHealth. Nicki is now undertaking the role of Business Development Executive through which she will be responsible for GAP and voluntary organisations. She will also continue with her involvement with the GeoSentinel Network. She will be working at InterHealth part time whilst also studying for a Masters in Public Health at Imperial College, London.

Nicki has recently returned from Uganda where she spent 4 weeks this summer undertaking research into maternal mortality in childbirth. She is now actively involved with fundraising and is hoping to set up a training scheme for traditional birth attendants out there.

Felicity Pointer Felicity Pointer
Communications & Marketing Executive
Felicity joined InterHealth in July 2008 as a Marketing Assistant Intern and we’re delighted that she decided to stay and develop in her new role in the Communications & Marketing Team.

Having graduated from Nottingham University with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology in 2008, Felicity has travelled in Central America and East Africa and has been involved in various humanitarian and conservation voluntary work, both at home and abroad.

In her spare time she enjoys music, travelling and running.  

David Fidge David Fidge
Occupational Health Business Development Manager
David joined InterHealth in October 2009 on a 6 month charitable secondment from BT.

David’s role at InterHealth is to act as their Occupational Health Business Development Manager. This involves supporting the Client Relations team to build a sales strategy to exceed the growth targets faced by the OH team and to develop and close new OH business opportunities. 

David’s background has largely been in building relationships for BT with multi-national companies in order to promote appropriate BT IT solutions. This involved managing and working closely with various teams within BT to achieve the best result for both the client and BT.

David hopes he can match his commercial experience to the InterHealth aim of supporting people and organisations to help others.
 

Cathy Travis Cathy Travis

Cathy joined InterHealth in 1997 after managing a short-term overseas programme placing around 1000 volunteers in Latin America...

Over the years she has held a variety of roles in Business Development and Marketing and has completed the Open University’s Certificate in Management of Voluntary Organisations and SCIEH’s Foundation Course in Travel Medicine. Cathy is now responsible for managing and developing InterHealth’s online Travel Health Advice Centre. Cathy has a particular interest in overseas volunteering and in medical geography.

Cathy was born in Argentina, was brought up in Peru and came to the UK for further education. She completed a Geography degree specialising in development and the environment. Cathy is a trustee of Latin Link and coordinates a partnership between a nursery in Derby and two nurseries in the shanty towns of Lima, Peru.

Leanne Kennedy Leanne Kennedy
Client Relations Executive
Leanne joined InterHealth in September 2009 as a Client Relations Intern and since January 2010 has developed her role as Client Relations Executive, working 4 days a week.

As Client Relations Executive Leanne assists in the management and administration of our clients. She also volunteers once a week with Community Health Global Network (CHGN) where her work involves project managing a research project alongside MAP International in Bolivia. 

Leanne has recently graduated with a Bsc (Hons) in International Development Studies with Law from the University of Chester. Having spent summers volunteering with Tearfund and CMS Ireland in Africa, Leanne is committed and passionate for a career in the third sector. After her experiences travelling independently across China and SE Asia Leanne is looking forward to working overseas in the future.
 

Lisa Kelly Lisa Kelly
Business Development Intern
Lisa joined InterHealth in October 2009. She spends two days a week as an intern in the Business Development team and three days a week working in Reception.

In her capacity as Business Development Intern Lisa has been involved in the organisation of health workshops and the development of marketing material for the GAP, expedition and short-term mission sectors. She is currently managing a client communications project.

Lisa has a BA in History of Art from the University of Cambridge. After graduating in 2008 she spent three months in Madagascar, volunteering with the charity Azafady, and also pursued independent travel in Laos. Having gained a strong sense of wanderlust she hopes to find a job that will allow her to travel overseas.
 

Naomi Wyler Naomi Wyler
Research Intern
Naomi joined InterHealth in October 2009 as the Research Intern.

Her research projects take up the majority of her time, but she also gets involved in the work of the Business Development team. In addition to her internship, Naomi works two days per week as a Reception Services Assistant.

Naomi holds a BSc in psychology from the University of Reading. After graduating in 2008, she set off around the world for 9 months of travelling, working, and studying Spanish. She is keen to go abroad again some time in the future, as well as continuing to establish herself in the third sector.
