Before You Travel

Vaccinations, Antimalarials, Travel Health Advice

Before you travel we recommend a visit to InterHealth for a Travel Health Consultation.
Our specialist Travel Clinic is located in central London and runs a vaccination and travel advice service for short-term and long-term travellers going abroad.

All vaccinations are available from InterHealth and we are able to provide individuals with up-to-the minute recommendations on vaccines and antimalarials from our specialist travel health databases.

In our Travel Health consultation, our nurses take care to discuss important health issues associated with travel and volunteering, advising how you can maximise your chances of staying well. Our nurses give recommendations on immunisations and antimalarials tailored to your specific needs. All immunisations are available at InterHealth though we usually recommend that those available on the NHS are given by the GP when time allows.

A wide range of travel health supplies are available on site or by ordering on-line, including tablets for malaria prevention and treatment. We also recommend ordering a copy of the Pocket Travel Health Guide.

    Testimonial

"The First Aid course was excellent and beyond my expectations in terms of content, presentation and opportunities to interact with what was being taught. It provided not only a first aid refresher but some hugely useful ideas for overseas work which I've never come across in regular first aid courses in the UK."
