Global Health and Primary Health Care Lectures
InterHealth's Director of Health Services, Dr Ted Lankester lectures at a number of venues on global health and primary health care. The following will be taking place in 2011:
• Christian Medical Fellowship Annual Conference
29th-30th April 2011
Ted will be delivering the Rendle Short Lecture on the future of medical mission at this conference in Swanwick, Derbyshire.
• London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
25th May, 2011
Ted will be lecturing to nurses at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on global health and primary health care.
• RedR WASH training day
27th June, 2011
Ted will be speaking on Public Health Background at the RedR WASH training day held at InterHealth. See here for further details
• Christian Medical Fellowship Developing Health Course
1st July, 2011
In addition to being the chairman of this course, Ted will be lecturing on Community Based Health Care to the Christian Medical Fellowship at Oakhill College.
• West Coast Medical missions Conference
20th August, 2011
Ted will be presenting the Global Health Plenary lecture at the West Coast Medical missions Conference in Pasadana, California.
• Oxford University MSc course
1st November, 2011
Ted will be providing the morning lecture on primary health care in developing countries to the MSc course ‘Global Health’ at Oxford University.
• Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow Triennial Conference
11th November, 2011
Dr Ted Lankester, InterHealth's Director of Health Services, will be lecturing on the health care of expatriates at Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow Triennial Conference.

• International Society of Travel Medicine biennial conference
7th-12th May 2011
A group of InterHealth staff will be speaking at the International Society of Travel Medicine biennial conference in Boston, USA. Ted Lankester, InterHealth's Director of Health Services is chairing the event. Annie Hargrave, Director of Psychological Health Services, will be presenting on our new clinical service called a Resilience Briefing. See here for further details on this innovative service.
Evelyn Sharpe, Consultant Psychiatrist, will be presenting on the subject of resilience in aid workers and missionaries. InterHealth’s Medical Team Manager/Travel Health Clinician, Dr Claire Davies will be presenting the work of our research team, entitled ‘Travel Medicine in a Crisis.’

12th-14th May 2011
Ted Lankester will be attending the ISTM two day Leadership Council meetings in Cape Cod, Massachusetts
• People In Aid Humanitarian HR Conference
18th-20th May, 2011
Leanne Kennedy, Client Relations Executive, will be attending the People in Aid Humanitarian HR event in Madrid, Spain. This three day conference is themed around Strengthening Local Humanitarian Capacity.
• People in Aid Humanitarian HR Conference
8th-10th June, 2011
Leanne Kennedy, client Relations Executive will be in Nairobi, Kenya for this conference discussing how to effectively build staff capacity in the Humanitarian Sector.
• Global Connections Chief Executives Forum
20th-21st June, 2011
Kevin Belcher, our Chief Executive will be attending the Global Connections Chief Executives Forum in Northampton. This programme aims to engage CEO’s with the challenges of leadership.
AFFIRM
InterHealth's Travel Health Clinician, Ian Campbell will attend the following events for his work with Affirm; an association of people that work together to strengthen local capacity for response to HIV and AIDS.

• AIDS Competence Process
4th-8th April 2011
This first conference with UNAIDS Russia and the Constellation for AIDS Competence will take place in Kazan, Russia.
• USPG in Malawi
17th-28th May, 2011
USPG support the work of Anglican churches all over the world. Ian will be going to three locations in Malawi for the facilitation of a USPG self assessment for health facility redevelopment and strategic planning.
• Co facilitation UNAIDS and Constellation
27th June-1st July, 2011
This second conference with UNAIDS Russia and the Constellation for AIDS Competence will take place in Samara, Russia.

26th July, 2011
