If you have a question that we haven't covered, just ask.
-
Do I need an appointment to get antimalarials?

If you are a subscriber you can receive advice via email or telephone. We can deliver your travel medicines to any convenient location or you can pick them up in person.
-
Do I need to be a subscriber to visit InterHealth?
No, anyone can visit InterHealth and use our services. Although, if you are a subscriber you will benefit from a range of discounts and remote support services.
-
How far in advance can I cancel my appointment to avoid charges?
We require two days’ notice in order to avoid all cancellation charges. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please advise our Client Services team as soon as possible. Please read our cancellation policy.
-
How far in advance should I schedule my vaccinations?
For most people an appointment for vaccinations should be made about 4 to 5 weeks prior to departure. Vaccination at any stage before departure is better than leaving without any. Some vaccine courses require multiple doses so please make sure you plan well in advance.
-
How long will my appointment take?
A Travel Health Consultation with the nurse can last between 15 to 30 minutes.
-
I am not feeling very well. Can I still have my vaccinations?
If you are not feeling very well, it is usually best to wait until you are in good health to receive vaccinations. If you are travelling soon, it is best to discuss your symptoms with the nurse who can help you decide what to do.
-
Is my organisation a subscriber to the TravelWell Plan?
If you’re not sure, please give our Client Services team a call and they’ll be able to tell you.
-
This will vary depending on where you are going, how long you are going for and what you will be doing. You can speak to a nurse to find out this information during a Travel Health consultation, or by visiting InterHealth world map. Alternatively, if you are a subscriber to InterHealth’s TravelWell Plan, you can email our nurses or phone our Advice Line between 2pm and 3pm Monday – Friday.
-
What is the difference between a medical appointment and a Travel Health Consultation?
A medical is with one of our doctors who are qualified to give you a full medical check-up including physical examination. The Travel Health Consultation will provide you with up to date travel advice, vaccinations and antimalarials.
-
Will I have my vaccinations done on the day or do I need to come back?
Providing you are feeling well, the nurse can administer the required vaccinations during your appointment. Please be aware that certain vaccinations require more than one dosage over a period of time so you may need to come back for follow up vaccinations.
