UK Ministry Medical (UKMM)

InterHealth provides a carefully focused medical programme for those in Christian ministry in the UK and for their spouses and dependents, which includes:

An unhurried 45-60 minute appointment with an impartial and understanding InterHealth doctor, with whom you can discuss in detail any health concern that you may have. Complete confidentiality is assured.
An opportunity for a thorough yet unthreatening medical check-up to help unearth any unforseen medical problems before they become too serious. A range of blood tests are available including cholesterol and prostate tests for men aged 45 and over. You are free to opt out of any part of the medical if you wish.
At your request, we can write to your GP whether or not any referral or follow-up is needed. We can also refer you to a network of private specialists.
A chance to discuss lifestyle issues, exercise, work pressures and work-life balance in complete confidence and help you draw up plans for the next 12 months.
The InterHealth team includes a psychologist, psychiatrist and a psychotherapist (who is also a counsellor). We are able to refer you to a member of our psychological health services team for further care and counsel if you wish. Or you may wish to take advantage of our UK Ministry Medical PLUS.
Ongoing email and telephone support from your InterHealth doctor for two years after seeing us. We recommend that you repeat this medical every two years.

UK Ministry Medical PLUS

In addition to a thorough medical with one of our doctors, the UKMMPLUS provides you with a further 90 minutes of confidential discussion with one of our qualified and experienced practitioners to discuss any issues you may have, including: work-life balance, stress management, anxiety and burnout or how to cope with the pressures of your ministry.
