Confidential Review
What happens?
There will be an hour set aside for you with one of the InterHealth Psychological Health Services team in an unhurried, confidential setting. They are all experienced in working with people involved in overseas aid, development and mission and the UK voluntary sector. You have the opportunity to reflect on your recent assignment and you may raise anything of importance to you. We will sometimes ask you questions to help you recall your experiences and reactions. No report goes back to your organisation.
Who is it for?
It is usually for people returning from work overseas. Couples are welcome and we would try to see you together for part of the time. It is also for you if you are on the staff of any of our client organisations and you would value a personal, confidential review.
What is it for?
It is to help you think about your recent assignment/s with the emphasis on personal thoughts and reactions and how your work has affected you. It is a chance to consider what your next step might be and to discuss whatever issues you face, whether personal or about work or study.
What happens next?
This is up to you. The review is designed to be helpful in one single appointment. Sometimes issues arise which people want to come back to. When this happens there are a number of options which can be discussed.
We hope that you will find the confidential review really positive and supportive, helping you to reflect unhurriedly and think creatively.
