Ill-health in the workplace can take two forms; regular illness which compromises work, and illness which is caused by work. Both of these forms of illness affect individual capability and therefore also have an impact on your organisation. Occupational Health Services can help you to measure and modify ill-health in your workplace, in order to improve the performance and capability of your workforce and organisation.

What are the benefits of Occupational Health?
InterHealth's Occupational Health team are equipped with specialist skills to boost the performance of your organisation by improving attendance, enabling and supporting rehabilitation and preventing ill-health caused by work.
Research shows that early intervention by Occupational Health specialists leads to a significant reduction in sickness absence, which in turn has benefits for your whole organisation.
How does Occupational Health work?
InterHealth will assess ill-health on two levels; actual, in the form of sickness absence, and potential through an assessment of the effect of work on performance. Assessments can take place at either an individual or organisational level and we will then help you to put systems in place to reduce future absence. We also offer a range of risk assessments to reduce potential ill-health resulting from work, such as for night workers or new and expectant mothers.
Occupational Health is a complex issue, essential for fulfilling employment legislation requirements as well as having significant financial benefits for most organisations. At InterHealth our specialist team are available to advise you on all aspects of policy and healthcare and to ensure that you are following best practice and getting the most from your employees.
What InterHealth provides:
Confidentiality: The Key To Success In Occupational Health
The key to positive, effective occupational health is the impartiality and confidentiality maintained by InterHealth as an external party. Our Occupational Health professionals remain objective at all times. We take into consideration the health issues of the individual or organisation, the requirements of the job role and the business needs of your organisation.
This confidential environment benefits employer and employee alike and is a requirement insisted upon by the governing bodies of Occupational Health professionals. We will maintain the employee’s medical confidentiality at all times, which is particularly beneficial when the problems being considered are of a sensitive, medical or personal nature. We can ensure a more open discussion takes place with the chance for all concerns to be properly considered, thus enabling an effective solution to be reached which returns the individual to full duties as soon as possible.
