We strongly recommend you use the information contained in these sites alongside a personal consultation with one of our qualified travel health nurses or subscribe to our new travelwellplan and gain a unique login to Interhealth's Travel Health Advice Centre (THAC).

These sources of advice can enhance your understanding of travel health issues and help you prepare for your trip or assignment overseas.


  • Travel health Advice Centre (THAC)
    A travel health tool which enables individuals and group travellers to have sufficient information about the immunisations, travel health advice and supplies recommended for their particular trip/s.
    You will need to subscribe to the travelwellplan to gain access to this service or be a linked to an organisation who has already subscribed.


  • The National Travel Health Advice Network (NaTHNaC)
    The National Travel Health Network and Centre funded by the Department of Health to promote clinical standards in travel medicine.


  • The British Mountaineering Council
    Look under Mountain Medicine for advice on Mountain Sickness, Oedemas and Travel to High Altitude, Diamox, Dexamethasone and Nifedipine at High Altitude, First Aid kits, Sunscreen, Frostbite, Travel Immunisations, etc...

  • The Foreign & Commonwealth Office
    Look under Travel section for official Foreign Office travel advice on over 200 countries. There are country-specific travellers' tips and links to travel advice of foreign governments.


    This includes:
  • Risk of Terrorism - brief summary of the terrorist threat world-wide, and what help FCO Travel Advice can provide in warning of the dangers
  • Before You Go - information on what to do before you depart as part of the on-going 'Know Before You Go' campaign
