Event: Workplace Health-Mitigate Risks of Unavoidable

Complimentary breakfast event
Nairobi, Kenya

24 Jun

Create a healthy workplace! Are your employees at risk of disease and injury?

Join InterHealth for a breakfast event exploring how your organisation can fulfil duty of care requirements through creating a healthy workplace. Malaria, stress, musculoskeletal problems, dehydration, fever are all very real, daily risks when working in the international humanitarian sector.

We will be exploring what workplace health means to you and your organisation, taking a look at specific risks found within the workplace and thinking through the steps which can be taken to mitigate those risks.

When your staff are sick, not only does it cost your organisation financially but it also results in less resource to meet your mission and objectives to help those who need your support. We will consider the WHO model for a healthy workplace (see below) and create ample time for interactive conversations to learn from each other and from current research in creating healthy workplaces. We encourage participants to bring along case studies and example staff care practices.

This event will be facilitated by Kerryann Cope and Lynda Rea.

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided.
