Abseiling for InterHealth’s Anniversary Fund

On Sunday the 14th of June, 61 people scaled down the 100ft façade of Riverwalk House for the InterHealth Abseil Challenge. The Sun was shining, Pimms was flowing, and a large crowd gathered to watch and cheer our daredevil participants. Their appetite for challenge was matched by their hard work and generosity, as they raised over £13K for our Anniversary Fund.

Some of our participants raised for their own organisations also, including MacMillan, MAF, African Revival and Action Against Hunger.

Community Health Global Network (CHGN), a global health network linked to InterHealth also took part and raised over £4K!

How your support will help

Over 50 people will benefit from our 20th Anniversary fund in the next year; people who otherwise wouldn’t get the support they need. For example:

• Providing Medical tests and support for people in high pressure roles.
   
• Supporting an individual who cannot afford our medical services after contracting a Tropical Disease.
   
• Giving psychological support to a person after a traumatic experience when they are not in a position to pay.
   
• Supporting an organisation after a serious crisis.
   
• We will also be developing a network of approved doctors across the world and delivering improved psychological support and training in the field.

Gift Aid allows charities to take a donation (which is money that the donor has already paid tax on), and then reclaim tax on its 'gross' equivalent (its value before tax was deducted) at the basic rate.
